How the Power of AI Can Transform the Way you Lead.
In “More Human”, Rasmus Hougaard & Jacqueline Carter make a compelling case for a more compassionate, self-aware, and human-centered approach to leadership—something that deeply resonates in both the workplace and personal life. You may find this book especially relevant in today’s complex world where mental well-being, purpose, and authentic connection are more important than ever.
Hougaard & Carter, founders of Potential Project, did extensive research with a hundred CEOs and executives across a range of industries and top AI experts. They found that by thoughtfully delegating tasks to AI and using it to augment skills and behaviors, it can strengthen the core qualities of human-centered leadership: awareness, wisdom and compassion. In this way, AI can help leaders and organizations become more human.
“ More Human’ describes the near future of work and leadership, where AI enables and amplifies human potential and provides tools that support growth and fulfillment.
If you are striving to align values with action, More Human offers practical guidance and inspiration. It reminds us that the most effective leadership starts from within, with empathy and clarity of purpose.
The following quotes really resonated with me.
“ Any leader today who is not looking at how to embrace AI as a component of leadership will likely be left behind. In our view, leaders will not be replaced by AI, but leaders will be replaced by those who do.”
“ The more advanced our systems get and, especially, the more we rely on them for “ intelligence,” the more we need to focus on what it means to be human and the ways we can unleash more human potential. Considering the computing power and analytical skills of AI, this is the time when our most human traits can shine.”
The biggest thing I got from this book is to explore how to use AI as a personal performance coach. To do this, I need to make it a daily practice, just like working out.
